WSC25

I had fun making this card. I finally tried embossing again for the first time in many, many years. I almost forget that I used to stamp and emboss images when I was in High School, but I never got rid of my embossing heater, so quite easy to get back into it. I am not to excited about how the embossing turned out and now I really see the reason for the embossing budy, will probably have to get that one when I can place another order ;-)

Front View all tied up--

Inside view-- I made an area to place the note by embossing the lines...

Close up of the wording...

Stamp set by CTMH, some paper from SU, main card paper - Not sure where it came from.

A couple parties...

I have been busy attending a couple parties recently and just had a blast at both of them. The Stampin Up! one was fun, but boy was everyone sure quiet, but I learned a lot. I have been staying away from heat embossing because it has just been a long time since I have done that but now no more excuses, time to get back at it! We made this cute little Happy Holidays card and I got to experiment with the blending pens and the chalk, I like that technique a lot!

The other party was by special invitation at my CTMH demonstrators house and she had us make these cute little small gift boxes, this traingle fold card and then a scrapbook layout. I already added pictures to that one so unfortunately will not be posting that here, agreements made with the hubby ;-) But it turned out great, time to get back into scrapbooking - I am soo far behind!

2, 5, 7, 10 Box...

I finally made one and sent if off to my Mom, it was really easy and cannot believe it took me this long to finally make it ;-)

I actually made it a little while ago, so she has since gotten this wonderful little box. I used SU Paper (river rock, groovy guave and the blue current in color - cannot think of the name) and CTMH stampsets (Flourishes and the heart is from another set, cannot remember right now). It was fun!

WSC24

This was a fun one and I got to use some of my new CTMH stamps from winter wonder. I love it. The snowflakes are just perfect and I have wanted to use this snowflake light blue background for a while but it just never seemed to work before this. So I just love this card, but am not sure about the tree. I tried to make it look like it was snowing and that snow had accumulated on the branches but I just am not sure. I hand drew the tree but just not sure about the snow effect, any suggestions on what I could have done differently???

WSC23

I got this done this last weekend, but ran out of time to post it. I have been busy making my Christmas cards and will post those as soon as I am done, next month sometime;-) This was another fun sketch and I knew exactly who would be getting it, yippie!

WSC22

This was a fun one, just wish that I had completed it yesterday but our DVD player died and we had to get a new one, Veggie Tales is very important you know... So we ended up shopping and not only getting the dvd player but also a 42" plasma TV. We were going to be getting one anyway, but were waiting until the addition was completed (still haven't started construction, just finishing up plans) But why buy a DVD player for a tv when you would just have to buy one again when we got this new TV, so sooner than expected but oh well...

Back to the Card, it was a fun challenge and I am glad that I got the chance to complete it on the weekend. Thanks for another fun one Beate!

WSC21

This Library File Card was fun and challenging. It was great to try and add different layers and I really like how it turned out. The paper is all Stampin Up, the stamps I used were from CTMH flourishes and the little flower stamp from g CLEAR stamps (michaels) and the ribbon is also from Michaels. Very fun. I think next time I need to try some distressing but am a little shy because I do not want to waste something but I think this card would have turned out even better had one of the layers been distressed. Cannot wait to take a class on that, soon it is on the calendar already!
