WSC20 and blog candy...

Well I actually got a sketch challenge done on the weekend that it was for, yeah!!! This was a little challenging until I figured out which stamps and paper I was going to use. The sketch itself was great, I really enjoyed it and how the card turned out! I mostly used CTMH paper and stamps with a new ribbon clip that I just got from Melissa Frances. I love how it turned out...

Now I just noticed that I am almost at 1000 hits, cannot believe it. I knew if I made it that far that I would want to celebrate and so here I am offering my first blog candy. I need to figure out what I would like to give away and may need to make a stop at the store tomorrow to get some great stuff, so will post the picture either tomorrow or Tuesday. I have been promoted at work so this week will be a little hectic (working 50 hours, ouch!). I will draw a winner on Sunday Sept 30th, using a random number generator. To help me celebrate please leave a comment on this post letting me know what you like best about scrapbooking or card making. Thanks and Good luck!

I love your card you made for the challenge! You did a great job! I love to make cards because its a creative outlet for me. I usually never know how it will turn out (unless I'm casing one...LOL). When I make one I feel great afterwards, like "hey, look what I did" feeling.
Thanks for the chance!

Your card is great. Congrats on your promotion at work. Sorry about the long hours though, you just have to tell them it's taking away from your FUN stampin time. (tee hee) I love to make cards, because you make it just for that person and it always seems to put a smile on there face. Anymore my family is can't wait to see what they are goint to get. That makes me feel good. Thanks for a chance at your first blog candy.

I think in what can sometimes be a dullness to life when you do the same old every day-being creative and using so much color washes that fuzz of dull life out for a while.I find myslef just marveling at all the colors and styles so much.

Congrats on so many hits and also your promotion at work. I get so much joy out of stamping and making cards too. I started this hobby a couple of years ago when life was getting rough & I could no longer work or get out very much due to health issues. I loved it right from the start! It gave me something new and exciting to think about and fulfills me so completely, that I've never been happier:)

Congrats on the hits, and also getting a promotion - well done for both.
I love to make cards as it is my relaxation time after a hard day at work. I find you can get lost in the creativeness of it all and that is great when jobs are so demanding.
Thanks for the chance.

Hi! Your card is awesome!! I know what you mean about how challenging it can be to pick out the right paper and stamps to make it go together. You did a wonderful job!! What I like most about scrapbooking is that I can be creative. I have no other creative outlets, so this is a great way for me to be crafty. I get a great deal of satisfaction when I see something I did and I think, "wow, I can't believe I did that!!" Thanks!

Congrats on your hits and promotion! I scrap/stamp as a creative outlet. I love to "get into it". Once I get going, I'm in a zone. Of course, once I'm on a roll is usually when DH gets tired of watching the kids! LOL

I love to make cards because it is MY time. As a bonus, it saves me from spending dreadful hours standing in the aisle of the cardstore trying to find that "perfect" card that doesn't exist!

Hi Sara,
Your card is beautiful.

I love card making, it is a creative outlet that I get to share with my friends and family. And it is definitely therapeutic!

Thanks for sharing!

I have been scrapbooking for several years as a creative and beautiful way to showcase my daughter and other family members. I recently moved into card making because it's fast, fun, and the outcome is rewarding when I bring some happiness to the recipient.

Congrats on the hits and a wonderful blog!
I've been stamping since the early ninety's when stamps were hard to find. Cards are my first love but I've been branching out into mixed media with stamps on other surfaces besides paper. It's my release into creativity and makes me feel like the artist I'd always wished I could be.

I love making cards because it's my "me" time. I really just get lost in it. I sometimes need to be pulled from it. I love how two people can have the same supplies, stamps, etc and come up with two completely different things. It's a world of infinite possibilities! Thanks for the giveaway.

I can't really draw or paint (like my Mother, Daughter, and Brother) so when I get positive comments about my cards and papercrafts it really makes me feel good!
Congrats on the hits.

Congrats on the hits and SUPER congrats on the promotion!

What I love best about card making is the almost instant gratification. I have a cabinet full of half done craft projects. With card making I can complete multiple projects at a time.

My favorite thing about making cards is probably the ribbon! I love the way it looks on cards. Well I really love all those cute little embellishments. Congrats on the hits!

Congratulations on the promotion and your success at blogging. I like lots of things about cardmaking: the creativity, being able to say exactly what you want, the endless possibilities, all the dp/stamps/embellishments, having a relaxing outlet, meeting new people.... I'm not too good at it, but I sure enjoy it.

I love that I can just "lose myself" in the paper and ribbon and ink and not think about anything but the joy of creating something pretty for a while.

How sweet of you to be doing the blog candy and congrats on your promotion! As far as what I like about scrapping and cardmaking, well', it's a chance for me to do something alone and just be creative and not think about the million other things going on every day!
