Requesting info/help...

OK - So I really want to start adding some glitter but am not sure how to go about doing that. Do I purchase a glue pad and some glitter and add glitter that way, do I emboss - which I already own an embossing heater - so could do that. But I want really easy and want to know others do. Also if you know of any tutorials that would be great. Thanks!

Two for one - challenges

Wow, so I have seen others doing more than one challenge with one card and I never thought that I would give it a try so here it is... I started with Beate's card challenge 12 and it looked pretty boring. I then remembered that I say a daring card makers challenge to make any card but you have to incorporate squares (actually checks but it said squares so that is what I did).

For the card itself I really do not remember where I got the papers or who made them but I love them. The flower stamps and ribbon came from a blog candy gift I received from Debbie. I think the card turned out great. The second one is just a little closer so as to see the sentiment a little clearer...

Waterfall Card.

What an amazing day. I actually got everything done. Ran all the errands, made mix chip cookies, cleaned the floor, watched Abigail playing in the backyard, played with Abigail when she did not take a nap and I made another card. I just cannot believe everything that I got accomplished today. This is one of those pat yourself on your back kind of days. I will be in the office for the next three days instead of working from home on Wednesday so I am glad I got so much done. Well here is the card that I made. I did follow the tutorial from SCS and it was easy. All paper and supplie from CTMH except the two little button style brads (can't remember where they came from). Have a great night!

Wow - Nominated for the Rockin Girl...

Wow - I can't believe it, I have been nominated for the Rockin Girl Blogger, what a treat. Thanks IDA!

Now I get to nominate 5 others, who to pick there are just soo many awesome blogs that I check out everyday. Who, who, who... OK here it goes.

Beate from Fresh and Fun

Tara from Stamp a licious (she has already been nominated but it sure is hard finding those who have not been nominated so here goes the first of duplicates)

Shawntel from Sweet Stamping Mama

Jen from my stamping spot and...

Jenn from I got stamps (another second nomination)

Thanks this is so much fun, and I am just amazed!

Another one for challenge 11

My 14 month old daughter tried helping with this one, but I still like it a lot. I just hope that it is not too busy... Paper is Let's Get Together by CTMH, as well as the ribbon. The stamps are from Stampendous - I think that is how you spell it? I can't remember where the little bling came from even though it is a recent acquisition.

Fresh and Fun Weekend Sketch Challenge #11

As soon as I saw this one I knew what I was going to do, until that is I started... The colors I thought that I was going to use just did not work together. But after a little thinking and looking I figured it out and this is what I came up with. The paper and ribbon are all CTMH, the stamp I cannot remember where it came from, the little flower was from some blog candy I won - same with the cutout. But I am so glad it worked out, because its another card I just love and hope whoever receives this will too ;-)

Fresh and Fun Weekend Sketch Challenge #10

I made it, I finally decided on the colors to use for this layout. That was my only challenge with this one! Once I figured out what colors to use it was soo easy. I love this card and know exactly who I am sending it to. Thanks again for a great challenge!

Tagged

OK I got tagged by Ida and this is my first time being tagged, although I must admit that if this had come by email that there is no way that I would be responding because I have done way to many of these but because you are all so nice about sharing with me I thought that I would give this a try... I will also not really play by the rules because I know most everyone I check has been tagged before but if not consider yourself tagged and link back to this comment so that I can check them out. Maybe I will find some new blogs to look at - wouldn't that be cool!!! So I am supposed to share 7 things about myself, so here it goes...

1 - I love to mountain climb, go mountain biking, and white water rafting.

2 - I was born in Northern British Columbia.

3 - I am a full time working mother - currently of one 14 month old and life is very hectic.

4 - I love to read the Bible and wish that I could spend all my time with the LORD and potentially would love to go back to a bible school or seminary - just to go deeper with the LORD. Time seems to escape me these days.

5 - Spending each moment my sweet little girl is awake with her - even when she is not awake, watching her sleep in my arms is worth 10 billion dollars (OK really can you put a price tag on that) Right now I am thinking about those AMEX commercials where they give you the price of two things but that third item is priceless. That is what time with my daughter is like - ABSOLUTELY PRICELESS!!!

6 - I am a college graduate with a degree in Environmental Science. I was selected as the student speaker for both the full Western Washington University Graduation Ceremony and the Huxley College Graduation Ceremony where I talked about sustainability and carpooling, walking or riding your bike to work. We just bought a SUV that I drive to work for safety. The selling point was the DVD player for my daughter. Boy how priorities change.

and last by not least...

7 - GIVE ME JESUS!!! Jesus died for me and then rose again, so that I may have life and life more abundantly - so give me Jesus! I must realize that life more abundantly is not a quarantee that I will be rich but I will have all my needs met. Needs not wants and it has been just awesome watching how the LORD has provided for us daily. I have a full time job but my husband is self employed and does not advertise his work but somehow even when there should not be anything there is always enough to provide for our needs. It is just Awesome to see Him work in our lives! Praying that for each of you to!

8 - I absolutely love scrapbooking and cardmaking and stamping. They are just awesome! I know one more than required but that is ok, isn't it?

I will be posting a new card hopefully today because I just love the weekend sketch challenges that Beate does. So thanks for viewing and reading. Sometimes I wonder if there are people out there because sometimes the counter goes up but no new comments, but that is the same here I mostly just look and sometimes post a comment. better get better at that.

Fresh and Fun Weekend Sketch Challenge #9

I finally got a chance to make this card. I was excited about this one as I have never made this type of card before and it was a challenge because I messed up on the tutorial, although written just fine, I just could not follow for some reason - maybe not thinking clearly after a weekend of camping. So much fun!

Here is the card. I think it might need a little more on the inside. A saying or some flowers or something like that - what do you all think? Myabe at the top inside corner on the outside of the little inner card - does that make any sense at all???

Fresh and Fun Weekend Sketch Challenge #8

I just love these challenges that Beate does. They are great to get me thinking and look at combining the different papers that I have, I love it! So here is this weeks try at the card, I really like this one, it is fun - now just who do I send it too? I am sure I will figure that out soon...

Co-workers Retirement

I love this card making thing. I am so glad that a friend got me into it. I guess that I should send her another thank you card, because it is just so much fun. We had a coworker retire last week after 20+ years with the city. She was such a neat person and I am glad that I got the chance to work with her. She does not or did not work in the same department, but the last major project that I was working on I got to work a little with her and am thankful. Now that I have lost weight - post baby - she gave me advice on how to take my pants in so that I did not have to go out and buy all new pants, for which I am very thankful... So here is the card that I made for her. It says Imagine on the front and inside - which I forgot to take a picture of - Life without the city... What an Adventure!

I won Blog Candy

Check it out... I won blog candy. I cannot believe it. Check out Angelosity's site. It has some cute ideas.

Here is a picture of the blog candy that I won

Here is a card that I made with the candy that I won. I think it is so cute and really love the little butterflies and the Thank yous that came with the stamp set. Never can have to many Thank You's...
